New Breed Fighters MMA 7/23 & 7/24

“New Breed Fighters” is throwing an amateur MMA event on Friday 7/23 and Saturday 7/24. Bullpen Vale Tudo is sending four fighters to the event. On Friday, Pierre Lopez and Lou Apalucci go to battle and on Saturday, Mtume Goodrum and Anthony Rodriguez rumble in the cage. Tickets are available from the fighters. Come out and enjoy a night or two out in Resorts, Atlantic City.

Congrats to Our Fighters!

Friday and Saturday at “New Breed Fighters” we had a total of five MMA fights. On Friday night, Tony Rodriquez won a unanimous three round decision 30-27. Lou Apalucci won a unanimous all three rounds 29-28. On Saturday night, MTume Goodrum fought a dominating three round unanimous decision 29-28. Robert Reichanek TKO his opponent for the big victory. Honorable mention goes to Marcus Philips for stepping into the cage. Congratulations to all our fighters and representing BULLPEN VALE TUDO JIU JITSU!

Robson Moura Seminar and Promotions

Robson Moura gave a great seminar on Saturday April 24th. We also had two other black belt present Josef “Ze Cobra” Manuel and Jeff Mitchell. The technical level at the seminar was insane. Robson answered every question and also demonstrated alternative positions. Also, congrats to Brandon Piper for getting a stripe on his purple belt, Jovan Mena for getting his second stripe on his purple belt, Matt Johnson getting his green belt, Tume Goodrum for getting two stripes on his white belt along with Tony Rodriquez. The Robson Moura Nova Uniao Jiu Jitsu association is growing not only in numbers but in dedicated students to the art of Jiu Jitsu.

Robson Moura Seminar April 24th

Robson Moura is back at BULLPEN VALETUDO/JIU-JITSU! Robson is coming back from a victory at the 5th Arizona International Open of BJJ. Here is the video of Robson vs Kitahara Nobuniko.
Robson uses technique developed through out a lifetime on the mat. Robson doesn’t hold anything back and shows you his winning BJJ techniques. Make sure to bring your gi and arrive 15 minutes early.

About the Coach
A former performance training center owner and trainer and University of Pennsylvania Strength and Conditioning coach, Dr. Wagner has developed and implemented speed, agility, strength, and endurance training programs for thousands of athletes from over 35 different sports. During his 20 plus years in sport performance he has coached individuals and teams to win league, conference, state, national, NCAA, and world championships and Olympic medals in a variety of high school, collegiate and amateur sports. He has also trained athletes who went on to play in the NFL, AFL, NHL, NBA, and MLB. His practical experiences are combined with training concepts that are scientifically based to create a state of the art system that makes athletes faster and more agile.
Dr. Wagner is also a national speaker/author on strength & conditioning having authored over 40 articles. He has been a contributing writer to Muscle & Fitness and Powerlifting USA magazines as well as other print and online publications. He obtained his Ph.D. in Kinesiology from Temple University in 2004. At Temple, he was an adjunct professor and taught courses in Strength and Conditioning until 2007. He received his masters in Education and a B.S. in biology from Salisbury State University.
Dr. Wagner was a competitive powerlifter and Olympic lifter. He has won six national powerlifting championships and a world championship. He also competed in seven open world championships as a member of the USA National team. He also holds and has held several National and World powerlifting records. As an undergraduate he was a two-time captain on the football team and played in the 1986 Division III National Championship.
Dr. Wagner is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

USA Track & Field – Level I Coach
USA Powerlifting – National Coach
NJ Dept. of Education – Biology teacher
NJ Dept. of Education – Physical Education teacher

About the program
When Dr. Wagner designed the WASP Speed and Agility Training Program, he set a mission to provide training that would develop individuals’ athletic skills to their fullest capacity. In order to develop these skills, individuals will be taught the proper techniques and procedures of speed and agility through a training system based on his experiences of training athletes for professional, Olympic, collegiate, high school and youth sports participation as well as preparing athletes specifically for testing combines in Baseball, Basketball and Football. He has worked with all levels of athletes from a variety of competitive backgrounds ranging from Jr. High School to Professional and Olympic Athletes.
Dr. Wagner has been an educator either on the field, track, weight room, or classroom during his entire professional career. His coaching techniques and program design follow a structured format that produces results. He strongly emphasizes teaching proper techniques of speed and agility development in a fun environment. This provides a foundation the athlete can rely upon in future athletic endeavors. WASP Speed & Agility Training maximizes the athlete’s speed, agility, mobility, reactive ability, explosiveness, and endurance in order to help improve athletic performance.
Training sessions are 55 minutes in length and are targeted at either developing linear speed or agility training. All athletes must go through an initial evaluation prior to starting any speed or agility sessions. All sessions are performed on Bullpen’s in-fill 40 yd. turf system to provide the safest environment and reduce undue impact stress on the athletes lower body.
